Customer Records

Every person who makes a booking becomes a customer record in that business. Customer records are business-scoped - the same email address in two businesses creates two separate customer records.

Each customer record includes:

• Name and email
• Phone number (if collected)
• Total bookings count
• Booking history with dates and statuses
• Internal notes (visible only to admin)

Customer Deduplication

When a returning customer books again, VoxelBooking matches them by email address within the business. Their booking is linked to the existing record, and the booking count updates.

Customer Detail Page

Click any customer to see:

• Contact information
• Full booking history (most recent first)
• Revenue and booking frequency
• Links to CRM tools (email client, phone)

Data Privacy

VoxelBooking includes privacy-by-design customer data tooling:

• Data Export - Customers can request an export of their personal data
• Deletion Request - Customers can request data deletion from the "Your data & privacy" link on the manage-booking page
• Anonymization - Approved deletion requests anonymize the customer record while preserving aggregate booking data
• Retention Controls - Configure automatic data retention periods in business privacy settings
